About F.C. Sophia
Who we are
F.C. Sophia is since 1989 the study association of Philosophy and Philosophy, Politics and Society at the Radboud university in Nijmegen.
What we do
At F.C. Sophia, we focus on what makes life fun: philosophy and conviviality. We organize parties, drinks, lunches, an annual gala, weekend getaways, museum trips, symposia, barbecues, and much more. Parties
From small theme parties to large open parties like the Waalhalla party, F.C. Sophia is packed with party opportunities year-round. Go nuts to fantastic music from the best house DJs or the hottest bands in Nijmegen and the surrounding area.

Member Weekends
Twice a year, we organize weekend getaways at group accommodations in the Netherlands or abroad. These weekends are packed with activities like flunky ball, a variety show, a pub quiz, and above all, plenty of time for socializing.
Trips
Once a year, we also organize a week-long trip abroad. A week of immersing yourself in the culture of another country, with an emphasis on its philosophical aspects. Discover the daytime and nightlife of a new place together with other members!
Academic activities
We of course wouldn’t be a study association without fostering our members’ curiosity. We do this by organizing all kinds of educational activities, such as museum tours, symposia, guest lectures, and our collaboration with the philosophical journal Splijtstof.
